Tijdens de Signature Rum Tasting leer je over de rijke geschiedenis van Mount Gay Rum na het ontmoeten van je Brand Host, de tour begint met gratis welkomst Rum Punch. Terwijl u geniet van uw cocktail, neemt uw gastheer u mee op een reis door het Legacy Museum, dat bezoekers een fascinerende blik biedt in de illustere geschiedenis van Mount Gay Rum en het eiland Barbados.
Van daaruit zul je een korte film bekijken die een uitleg geeft van het proces van hoe de Gay rums worden geproduceerd. Vervolgens word je naar de Proeflokaal gebracht waar je kunt genieten van een smaakervaring van 3 Mount Gay-rum. Uw gastheer begeleidt u door de proeverij en legt de verschillen uit tussen elke rum die u proeft.
Om het proeven te voltooien, wordt u vervolgens naar de Signature Bar gebracht voor een kans om te genieten van een aantal prachtig gemaakte cocktails met de zeer goed geĂŻnformeerde mixologen. Breng na de proeverij een bezoek aan de cadeauwinkel om wat flessen of souvenirs voor jezelf te kopen. Sommige rum kan alleen op het eiland worden gekocht! Possibly the best tour experience in Barbados!

This is a real must for anyone visiting the island who enjoys a drop of rum! I can’t speak highly enough of our tour guide, Ramal. Expertly delivered information on the history of rum production at Mount Gay right up to current processes. A fascinating insight on the maturity process of rum production, all delivered with a natural splash of humour and warmth. The rum tasting session was really educational and included lots of tips on how to enjoy the rum with a variety of different pairings and cocktails. Worth every penny and I will definitely repeat the experience on my return visit to Barbados! Don’t hesitate, book the tour you won’t be disappointed!

Had the most amazing time at the rum distillery. Was very informative and entertaining. Rico (Chico Rico) was amazing and was a pleasure to be in his last tour group! Have recommended it to everyone I have spoken too. Will be coming back again! The Rum was also absolutely amazing. Value for money without a doubt!

I cannot start this review without acknowledging the exceptional tour guide Rommel. He was beyond impressive with his knowledge, his jokes and his calm demeanor. The tour itself was quite informative and eye opening with a video to show you the breakdown of how the Rum comes to be and the process the the Master Blender has to go through. The Rum was amazing as its standard customary. I encourage everyone to visit this amazing centre and learn the history of Mount Gay Rum!!!

Our favorite part was the tasting. We also enjoyed the video that revealed some of the interesting history of Mount Gay.

Wonderful tour with an in depth insight into this working factory. Started with a rum punch on arrival. Romal our tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous which made for a fun tour. Interesting to see the focus on sustainability on site. The tour didn’t feel rushed and we enjoyed the tasting session at the end! Noteworthy point is that we could purchase some bottle items on site but the main shop is located at the visitor centre in Bridgetown, not at the Distillery.

Betting at Mount Gay was a great experience. Romal was a wonderful guide. Entertaining, and very knowledgeable about all things rum making and Mount Gay.

We really enjoyed the experience, learnt a few cool things about Mount Gay rum and tasted the rums. We also got a complimentary cocktail so I think worth the price. The tour guide was hilarious and so engaging.

We had a wonderful tour of the distillery, with a cocktail and rum tasting included. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made it fun and interactive. Would recommend any rum lovers to do this!

Awesome experience learning from our great guide Romal. Tour throughout the facility very eye opening on how their rum is made and the quality and natural way without anything added .

We had Dariah as our tour guide and I want to shout from the rooftops about how great she was! She made this tour so fun and gave us loads of information, it is so interesting how they make the rum and the pride they take in the product.
We had a welcome cocktail that was really lovely and then tried four different times of Mount Gay rum. We've done whiskey tasting before but are now rum converts! The tasting tour was a great length with the right mix of trying and information. We'd definatitely like to do another one of their tours in the future.
Before leaving we got to try one more type of rum (I can't remember what it was called but it was similar to baileys in some ways). And we stayed for an extra cocktail as we'd enjoyed the tasting and first cocktail so much. Bar area and all the tour areas are nice too. I am so glad that we went and would recommend it to everyone!
